Banan Temple (ប្រាសាទភ្នំបាណន់)

 

  Banan temple is a mountainous temple which is located in Kon Ty 2 commune, Banan district,Battambang province,on the top of a 400-meter high mountain called Banan mountain.This temple was built between the mid 11th century and the end of 12th century in the reign of King.Utayea Titya Varaman II (1050-1066) and King. Jayavaraman VII (1181-1219). In order to arrive the mountain, tourists have to travel 18 kilometers from the provincial town by road 155 which is parallel to Sang Ke river.At the mountain, there are two natural caves, Bit Meas cave and Chhoung or Chhoung Achey cave. A small temple is found at the bottom of the mountain, on the right side of the stair.Besides that, there are many big shady trees and food stalls along the entrance.       

Anlong Thom Natural Resort or Prek Thnout ( រមណីយដ្ឋានទឹកជ្រោះអន្លង់ធំ ព្រែកត្នោត)​

Prek Thnout (Anlong Thom) is an eco-tourism resort which is  located in Prek Kreng village, Prek Thnout commune, Kampot district,Kampot province, on the bottom of Bokor mountain.We can arrive this natural resort by traveling along national road 3 (Kampot- Veal Rinh), about 28 kilometers from the provincial town and 2 kilometers from the main road. When we arrive between the kilometer number 177 and 178, we will see the gate of Hun Sen Prek Thnout High School on the right side and a big welcome poster of Prek Thnout resort as well.Traveling along the 1600 meters-long red soil path,along with the local villagers' residents,we will arrive the resort. It was established in the end of 2007 by the eco-tourism community of Prek Thnout commune with the aid of Save Cambodia's Wildlife (SCW). It  was supposed to replace Toeuk Chhou resort in order to attract more and more tourists because nowadays Toeuk Chhou's water is not clean enough to swim like before. It is expected to be supported by local and foreign visitors who are interested in  beautiful natural environment.

Mr.Chhoum Chhum,the community leader of Anlong Thom, has mentioned that there are many attractive sites to visit such as Anlong thom, Anlong Khiev, Anlong Thmor Da,Anlong Deum Chumpou and the combination point of fresh water and sea water. If the tourists tend to go to visit the sea which is only about 3 kilometers far from the resort, they can rent the community fishermen's boats to see dolphins between April and May or September and October.Also, they can naturally enjoy watching lightning bugs at night.As well as that, the community provides the tourists with local home-stay service. Each house can welcome 6-8 visitors.The most interesting features of this resort are enough safety,clean and quiet environment and reasonable food price limited by the community leader.

 

 

 

Khlaing Moeung Shrine (បូជនីយដ្ឋានអ្នកតាឃ្លាំងមឿង)

It is an important historical shrine which is located in Snam Preah commune,Bakan district,Pursat province,only 6 kilometers from the provincial town, then turn left for 1 kilometer. This area has a large yard for tourists to relax. Inside the neat building, there are three cement statues of Oknha Khlaing Moeung,his wife-Khan Khiev​​​ and his son. Also,there are beautiful gardens around the shrine and some other attractive statues. This area is greatly respected by Cambodian people especially Pursat inhabitants. 

  

 

 

 

Nataya Resort ( រមណីយដ្ឋានណាតាយ៉ា)

Nataya is a new popular coastal resort which is located in Prek Ampil village,Koh Touch commune, Toeuk Chhou district,Kampot province,about 17 kilometers distance from the provincial town.This resort was established in 2007 with the plan of  20 hectares land,but only 6 hectares have been developed until now.Nowadays, there are 16 well-decorated bungalows available. The price for each bungalow is $ 60 per night.Moreover, there is a long bridge attached to the sea for tourists to enjoy the coastal landscape and fresh air, along with many other leisure facilities.This area was formerly the King Norodom Sihanouk's holiday palace in 1960s. At that time,there was a stone house and hundreds of coconut trees around the area. In Pol Pot's regime,it was called "Stone House" by the villagers. They were not allowed to enter the area because it was kept as the Khmer Rouge soldiers' shelter.

Ou Chheu Teal Beach (ឆ្នេរអូឈើទាល)

 Ou Chheu Teal Beach is located in Sangkat No3,Sihanouk town, Sihanouk province.The beach is the most beautiful sandy beach with shallow and quiet sea. Along the beach, there are many food stall serving many kinds of delicious and fresh seafood such as squids,shrimps,lobsters,crabs and so on. Also, many nearby hotels,bungalows,bars and restaurants are available for local and foreign visitors.

7 level waterfall or O' Sinlae waterfall (ទឹកជ្រោះ៧ជាន់ ឬ អូស៊ីនលែ)

7 level waterfall or O' Sinlae waterfall is located in Lumphat district, Rattanakiri province,about 30 kilometers from the provincial town,Banlung. It is surrounded by dense forests and mountains with a pleasant atmosphere for tourists.

Koh Sdach (King Island)

Koh Sdach is located in Kirisakor district,Koh Kong Province,81km from Koh Kong Town.It's a natural resort which is famous for its long sandy beach, abundance of marine coral and many kinds of marine creatures.if tourists dive between 1-2 meter depth,they can see many amazing coral.There is a story about Koh Sdach: A long time ago,a king brought his armies there.There was no fresh water on the island,so the king tried to look for water source.Then,he found a place where the water came out from a stone near the sea.The king used his royal sword to break the stone, and the fresh water has appeared permanently since then.The residents have consumed the water for their daily livings by now.

Chrok La'eang Waterfall (ទឹកធ្លាក់ច្រកល្អៀង)

This natural resort named Chrok La'eang (ទឹកធ្លាក់ច្រកល្អៀង) is located  in Krakor district, Pursat province, 73km from Pursat town. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the waterfall, having a picnic and watching the beautiful scene of the nature in the middle of the forest.

Kean Svay Krao Resort

Kean Svay Krao Resort is located in Thom Commune,Kean Svay District,Kandal Province.To arrive there,we have to travel along national road number 1 about 20km from Phnom Penh.It is behind Kean Svay Krao Pagoda.It is famous for its floating houses,fresh air,fresh vegetable,fruit and many kinds of delicious food such as roasted chicken, grilled fishes,grilled quails,boiled quail eggs,roasted lobsters and so on.
